At just be. apparel we’re passionate about the future of fashion, particularly when it involves local creatives. So naturally, we were thrilled by an invitation to showcase our clothing at St.Monica’s College in Epping, for their Year 9 Slow Fashion Show.
The fashion exhibition which kicked off on October 24 and ran for a week, featured a range of local eco-friendly and sustainable brands including, Just be. apparel, Positive Pants, Etiko and Nae footwear, and Fairteesi t-shirts.
St.Monica’s Social Justice Co-ordinator, Fadi Elbarbars’ high hopes for the event were met, “This is a small-scale and humble event. But it is one that I really hope will open up our students’ minds to the impact of their choices as consumers and the amazing work and products that local organisations create”.
During the week, at least 300 students were led through the exhibition by the Year 9 Be More Social Justice Group, where they watched segments of The True Cost and read about the important work done and charitable causes supported by the featured brands.
